The Reset | 2019-2020

Directed and produced all brand marketing collateral, including web design, online ads, copy, photoshoots, emails and social.

  • Lead and participated in brainstorming sessions with the CEO to improve marketing outputs, including strategy, art direction, copy, and tone.

  • Managed internal design team and external vendors to create all marketing assets.

  • Developed social media game plan, including influencer campaigns, brand 

collaborations, on-set photo art direction, styling, trend forecasting, and design.

  • Created on-brand promotional campaigns consisting of facebook ads, email, and social marketing that drove a 4x increase in  sales.    

DESIGN DIRECTOR - KID GIRL, BABY GIRL, BRAND NEW

Gymboree | 2015 – 2018

Oversaw 8+ designers in three departments while developing high-level trend concepts across all departments for girl.

  • Relaunched three major departments, overhauling brand aesthetic, redeveloping fabrications, and redefining fit standards for all ages.

  • Conceptualized and presented collections, working closely with merchants to ensure product fit seasonal business and promotional needs. 

  • Guided and mentored designers to work cross-functionally to ensure product maintained its integrity from design to post-production.

  • Traveled internationally to discover and purchase samples to present ideas, concepts, and trends to executive team.

SENIOR DESIGNER - TODDLER GIRL, KID GIRL

Gymboree | 2011-2015

Spearheaded a positive business turnaround for the Toddler girl product, and assumed the role of leading the Kid Girl product team.

  • Revamped the toddler girl business by pursuing modern styling and fabrications, turning a historically negative business into several years of positive comps.

  • Personally developed a new legging fabrication, and established an item that singularly grossed $411k in its first quarter, becoming a million dollar business for the company.

  • Managed a total of 5 direct reports in addition to multiple freelancers.

  • Worked on multiple collaborations, including Olivia the Pig, and also served as lead in special projects for international franchises of Gymboree.

  • Established workflow processes, design templates, and communication protocols that were replicated and integrated into other departments.

DESIGNER - WOMEN’S KNITS, ACTIVE, AND SWIM

Old Navy | 2006-2011

Owned the women’s active category in addition to managing the swim department.

  • Developed and presented knits and active concept from palette, to fabric/trim innovation, to finished product.

  • Contributed to the overall packaging and logo rebranding for women’s active, introducing Old Navy’s “Goga” technical activewear line.

  • Established a cohesive system of activewear, which in 2008 beat projections by $7.2 million - a historic high for the department.

  • Introduced Old Navy’s first seamless activewear, including bras and tanks.

  • Worked cross-functionally to lower cost while maintaining quality, saving the company over $3 million in 2008.

ASSOCIATE DESIGNER - WOMEN’S OUTERWEAR

Baby Phat, New York | 2003-2004

Reported to the director, presenting original outerwear ideas while supporting the larger design team.

  • Worked with a broad range of outerwear, including wool, leather, and down.

  • Communicated with factories, mills, tanneries, and showrooms, owning pre and post production for the brand.

  • Designed graphics and prints on illustrator to reinforce company branding

DESIGN INTERN - WOMEN’S DEPARTMENT

Marc by Marc Jacobs, New York | 2001-2003

Served as one of the brand’s first design interns, during its second season ever, working closely with the entire team (including the Director).

  • Assisted in the development of clothing details, including flat sketches.

  • Set up delivery boards, fabric pitch sheets, and aided in print development.

  • Shopped for styling of photoshoots and runway shows.
